Collection: Daydreams Art Prints
Daydreams, 2022
A solo exhibition at Zhan Art Space.
Daydreams is a series of artworks born from my inner visions—where distorted memories, imagination, and longing blur the line between reality and reverie. I created this body of work during the height of the Covid-19 lockdown, as a way to cope with anxiety, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm. These prints hold fragments of places I want to visit, feelings I want to feel, and people I want to meet, layered with places I’ve been, emotions I’ve known, and memories I carry. Daydreams became a place in my mind I return to—to feel safe, loved, and supported.
The works revolve around gardens, meadows, jungles, and imagined sanctuaries—spaces that bring me peace and stillness. Some pieces feature women wrapped in traditional Malaysian textiles, symbolising strength, grounding, and the feeling of home and heritage. Reproduced from the original exhibition, these prints are an invitation to rest, to soften, and to step into a gentler inner world. Daydreams is a love letter to myself—and a reminder of the importance of self-care, self-love, and emotional refuge during times of turbulence and uncertainty.
